Annual FUND 2023-2024

Public education is free, but award-winning education is not. The Ross School Annual Fund raises money above and beyond contributions from state, local and federal funding for Ross School to operate our school at a higher level.

HELP US ACHIEVE 100% PARENT PARTICIPATION BY MAY 2024

this year OUR GOAL IS $1.7M. Our average gift last year was $6,100.

Your contribution to the Ross School Foundation helps:

  • Recruit and retain excellent teachers

  • Maintain low student-to-teacher ratios (12:1 school-wide ratio, the lowest in Marin County. K-5 average class size is 18 students.)

  • Provide differentiated learning and staff a Learning Center with reading, speech, and math specialists

  • Offer school-wide Spanish, STEM, PE, FabLab, art, music, and choir. 40+ electives for MS students

We strive to reach 100% participation from our current families and encourage the support of the Ross community including local businesses and residents, grandparents, and alumni.

Ross School continues to rank top in the State, Bay Area, and County and is the proud recipient of the coveted National Blue Ribbon Award.

Ross School Foundation funds are critical to delivering the education we expect and demand for our children.

Ross School Funding

Contributions from the Foundation provide more resources and opportunities for Ross Students

The Ross School Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds to fill the gap between government sources and what it actually costs to run Ross School. The Foundation funds almost 20% of the school’s annual budget each year. The majority of donations come from current school families, but we also receive generous donations from community members, alumni, grandparents, and local businesses.

The Foundation was founded in 1992 as the cost to provide a high-quality education at Ross School began to exceed the amount it received from government sources. In 2016/17, the cost to educate a student at Ross School was $18,108 and rose to $23,942 in 2020/21. We ask Ross School parents to donate each year to help meet our funding needs. Last year, over 90% of parents donated to the Annual Fund with an average of $6,100 per student. Without these contributions, Ross School would not be the outstanding school it is today.

COMMUNITY MEMBERS

Welcome Ross Community! Ross School is one of the most treasured Ross institutions, and in many ways, the heart of our community. Generations of Ross children and their parents have been a part of the school and form the rich history that we now cherish.

Every year, the Ross School Foundation receives generous donations from our community members, which provide vital funds for the operations of Ross School. Funding the operations for our school has become quite a challenge given the current economic conditions and your donations are greatly appreciated.

You will be listed in the Foundation Annual Report according to these giving levels (unless you choose to contribute anonymously). Your participation will also be noted on this website. To show your relationship with Ross School, we will also list the graduation year of any of your children or grandchildren. Thank you again for your generosity!
